Under the program, the stories of the 17th Istanbul Biennial projects are to be written by the participants. The writers are to choose one of the projects of the 17th Istanbul Biennial to research the project in depth and write a new text. As part of this process, tours of the Istanbul Biennial exhibitions and a series of workshops will be organized on the online platform. The authors will work on their texts with the editors of the Uğur Mumcu Foundation.
The written texts will be published on the Istanbul Biennial website and on the um:ag journalism platform.
Those who wish to participate in the program and online workshops organized in cooperation with the 17th Istanbul Biennial and the Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation (um:ag) should fill out the registration form at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2.
The topics of the workshops, the trainers and the program are as follows:
- Saturday, November 5: Presentation of "Hidden Stories from the World" (workshop language is English)
- Wednesday, November 9 / 19.00: Internet memory workshop / Erkan Saka Saturday,
- November 12 / 7.00 p.m.: Digital storytelling workshop / Mehmet Şafak Sarı Tuesday,
- November 15 / 7.00 p.m.: Journalism workshop in times of conflict / Can Ertuna Saturday,
- November 19 / 6.00 p.m.: Photo reading workshop / Tolga Hepdinçler
The applications will be evaluated after the application form is filled out completely and the purpose of the application is compatible with the goals of the program, and 40 people will be determined to participate in the program. Participants of the program will be notified by email no later than Friday, November 4.
