About the Young Refugees Support Programme:

It is a service delivery and strengthening program carried out with the financial support of the Government of Japan, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Turkey Office, under the management of the Young Approaches in Health Association (Y-PEER Turkey).

The program aims to increase the access of Turkish and immigrant/refugee youth between the ages of 18-30 in Ankara, Diyarbakır, Hatay, and İzmir Youth Centers to sexual health, reproductive health, and gender-based violence services, and to strengthen them by raising their awareness on these issues. The Young Refugees Support Program also aims to support the social cohesion processes of young people through empowerment and social cohesion activities, thus creating a social impact based on youth and humanitarian aid activities in the civil field.

Since 2015, the Young Refugees Support Program enabled the implementation of many common platforms in the fields of health, protection, and empowerment to enable immigrant, refugee youth, and local youth to meet on the axis of youth, support each other and create solutions together to the problems they see around them. Within the scope of this open call, it aims to develop new approaches that will enable young people to both become stronger by taking responsibility and meet under the discourse of living together.
