Good news from Altyazı Cinema Association: ‘Visible Invisible’ to be screened at MoMA

The first feature-length documentary produced by Altyazı Cinema Association, Görünür Görünmez: An Anthology of (Auto)Censorship will meet the audience at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Visible Invisible, which consists of six videos brought together by the collective efforts of eight directors, will take part in the Doc Fortnight 2025 programme of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, which will be held between 20 February - 7 March this year.

Each year, Doc Fortnight brings together experimental and innovative documentary films from around the world. The North American premiere of Visible Invisible will take place as part of the festival.

On Sunday 2 March at 13:30, a Q&A event will be held after the screening. The other screening of the documentary will take place on Wednesday 5 March at 17:00.

About the film 

Bringing together six videos titled ‘Hesitations’, ‘Walls’, ‘Missing Documentaries’, ‘Wheel’, ‘Dear F’ and ‘Sevil’, Visible Invisible: An Anthology of (Self)Censorship is a collective enquiry on censorship and self-censorship. The anthology tests the limits of freedom of expression through different techniques and interfaces such as desktop documentary, letter, messaging, photography, video-essay, re-enactment, security cameras, online testimony.
