Basic knowledge
As a multi-donor funded project, CLIP 2 provides support to community-based local initiatives in underserved regions of Turkey, aiming to provide holistic and need-based services to disadvantaged refugees and vulnerable host communities in Turkey. CLIP 2 is based on the experience gained under the Turkey Local Initiative Fund (LIFT), where GIZ provided financial and technical support to small CSOs in different regions of Turkey between 2019 and 2020. The CLIP 2 multi-donor initiative, implemented by taking into account the experience gained during the implementation of LIFT, will serve the following purposes:
- Improve support services for protection and specialist services for refugees and vulnerable members of the host community.
- Improving access to non-formal education.
- Improving services in the fields of intercultural understanding and social cohesion.
- Strengthening capacities, including cooperation structures, for the delivery of quality and holistic social services.
Financing Opportunity
CLIP 2 will select up to 24 local initiatives to offer support, each offering a funding opportunity of between 20,000 and 100,000 euros. Applications will be considered in the following thematic areas: protection and expert services for refugees and vulnerable members of the host society, non-formal education activities (language courses, vocational courses, etc.), intercultural sharing, and learning activities for the development of social cohesion.
