The 'Strong Civil Space for Gender Equality' project, implemented by the UN Women's Gender Unit (UN Women), invites participants to the 'Gender, Climate Change, and Disasters: Civil Society Training' organized within the scope of the project. The aim of the training is to strengthen the advocacy and participation capacities of civil society organizations.
The 3-day training, which will be held in Ankara between 13-15 December 2023, will provide guidance on gender perspective, climate change, disaster risk reduction, international framework and national legislation. In addition, the inclusion of gender perspective in CSO missions and activities in the context of climate change and disaster risks and the methods of participation of civil society organizations in advocacy and monitoring processes will be discussed.
Application criteria
- Women's civil society organizations or CSOs working in the field of gender equality, youth-led CSOs or CSOs working in the field of youth, or CSOs working in the fields of climate change and environmental protection can apply for the training.
- The training program is intended for rights-based CSOs carrying out advocacy activities at local and national level.
- Except for exceptional cases, the participation of 1 person representing each organization will be accepted.
- The CSO representative who will attend the training is required to fill out the application form and provide information about the possible contribution of the study to the CSO.
- Experience in participation, monitoring and evaluation or a plan to be involved in decision-making processes/influencing public policies is a preference factor.
CSO representatives who want to participate in the training should fill out the application form until December 1, 2023 at 17.00.
