About the Organization
The Mediterranean Women's Fund works for the improvement of women's living conditions and gender equality in the Mediterranean region and supports the women's movement in the region to this end.
Priority Areas
Capacity building in women's organizations, regional women's networks, the fight against gender-based violence, youth leadership, advocacy and action in the women's movement.
About Application
Groups and organizations operating in the Mediterranean region consisting of women can apply for a grant. The organization or networks to apply should be working on women's equality or human rights. It supports groups that are in the first 5 years of its operation, especially those who have less chance of finding financial support from institutional donors and who work on sensitive issues to advance their work on women's rights. The pre-application form on the web sites is filled and the answer is given within three weeks regarding whether the project is suitable for the main application. If a positive answer is received, a more detailed file is submitted.
Depending on the content, individual attendance at meetings or immediate support is also provided.
