About the Organization
The Foundation enables donors in the United States to support non-profit initiatives in Europe and Africa. Herewith it supports cross-border philanthropy. It introduces people to civil society organizations and projects in different fields with the different donation programs it develops.
Priority Areas
It has supported projects in the fields of health, culture, art, cultural heritage, social memory, children, and women so far. There is no restriction of area.
About Application
The foundation publishes calls for applications for nearly a hundred different support programs annually. In these different programs, application criteria, priorities for projects to be supported, and lower and upper limits for financial support are specified. Applications are made online. The Foundation also offers CSOs a tool for fundraising by promoting their projects in its database. The duration of the projects is in principle 18 months.
