About the Organization
The Bernard van Leer Foundation is a Netherlands-based civil society organization that acts with the goal of “increasing the opportunities for socially and economically disadvantaged children”.
The Foundation, which has supported early childhood studies in more than 50 countries to date, currently supports studies in different geographies such as Brazil, Ivory Coast, India, the Netherlands, and Turkey as well as its global program. The foundation has supported various research, communication, and application projects for the children of disadvantaged families by collaborating with universities, civil society organizations, companies, and local governments.

About Application
Within the framework of their strategies, the main goals they want to achieve with their work in Turkey are determined as reducing violence in families with children between the ages of 0 and 8 and reducing the rate of malnutrition and disease in children up to the age of 6 of seasonal workers. The foundation does not provide grant support, but instead establishes partnerships with organizations that fit its strategy. Public, private or community-based organizations can be selected for partnership. Possible partnership areas with CSOs include practices such as supporting the economic empowerment of young mothers with young children and parent training, and the integration of children into the services of women's groups working in the field of violence against women within the scope of shelter and rehabilitation programs.
The Foundation does not accept independent grant applications and does not correspond in this direction. Based on its research and in dialogue with its stakeholders, the Foundation identifies its potential partners and invites them to propose a framework for cooperation.
