What Is Fund Raising?
There are various questions frequently asked to STGM regarding fundraising for paying the office rent or paying the salaries of the professional staff of the CSO or searching for financial resources for the projects desired to be executed or afford a budget item of one activity.
On the other hand, CSOs’ capability to continue their existence in a secure manner, in other words, ensure their sustainability is not possible only with financial resources. Since its establishment, a CSO constitutes a body of resources with all its material and spiritual values, members, volunteers, target audience, other stakeholders, a network of relationships, international interaction, institutional structure, legal status, in fact, with all its organizational capacity. For this reason, the concept of resource development means the development, execution/management, and continuity of this integrity and ensuring its sustainability.
It is important to define the requirements for realizing the change desired to be created and carrying out the works in this direction and planning the resource development accordingly. For this purpose, it is necessary to plan the targets in line with the mission, principles, and objectives defined first with an integrated execution/management approach, the paths to be followed to achieve these targets, the strategies, and finally the activities to be carried out in this direction. In terms of resource requirements determined as a result of this integrated approach, it becomes necessary to develop human resources as well as financial resources and relationships with stakeholders.
At this point, STGM understands the subject of fundraising for CSOs with this integrated approach and aims to provide support for different resource categories in addition to such subjects as having access to funds and grant resources, collecting and/or receiving grants, organizing income-generating activities.

In Fundraising and Financial Sustainability training for CSOs, we aim at contributing to strengthening the capacities of CSOs in resource development and management as a part of the integrated management approach.

As STGM, we are screening the current grant, fund, and award call in the world and in Turkey on a regular basis every week and we are announcing them for the purpose of facilitating the resource search of non-governmental organizations and supporting their financial capacity.

STGM Funding Resources Database
We have formed the STGM Funding Resources Database so that non-governmental organizations can access and scan various funding sources.
You can access the international organizations from funding sources in Turkey, from embassies to supranational institutions, data of many institutions and agencies providing funds and grants to non-governmental organizations in different channels from the government institutions to the private sector in the STGM Funding Database.
