The seminar will be held on April 15 - 16, 2023 in Istanbul for lawyers who are currently handling freedom of expression cases, and for lawyers and trainee lawyers who are considering playing an active role in such cases in the future, both as defense counsel and attorneys.
The topics of the seminar are as follows;
- General Principles of Freedom of Expression and International Human Rights Law
- Freedom of Expression, Judges and Lawyers, Hate Speech and Incitement to Violence
- "Disinformation Crime", "Denigrating State Institutions" and "Insulting the President" Crimes and Freedom of Expression
- Defamation and Freedom of Expression
- Individual Application Right in the Context of Freedom of Expression

As a rule, the seminars will be open to lawyers and trainee lawyers residing in Istanbul. However, participants from neighboring cities may also be accepted, provided that they cover their own expenses and undertake to fully participate in the seminar program.
Participation in the seminar is completely free of charge, and at the end of the seminar, lawyers and trainee lawyers who participate in the entire program will receive a certificate of participation. The quota is 25 participants. Participants whose participation is approved will be contacted and detailed program and location information will be sent.
