Cooperatives of the Future: A Big Step Towards Digitalization and Entrepreneurship
In its 10th year, the Entrepreneurship Foundation (GİRVAK) is launching an important project to spread the culture of entrepreneurship to the masses. Launched with the support of Google.org, the “Cooperatives of the Future” project aims to support local development and contribute to cooperatives across Turkey to open new horizons by increasing their digitalization, entrepreneurship and marketing capacities.
What is the Purpose of the Program?
The project aims to support all cooperatives that produce products, services and benefits to be more effective in the digital world. Participants will be trained in e-commerce, digital marketing and entrepreneurship, and will be provided with mentorship and grants to help them become a global brand.
Why is this project important?
- 65% of cooperatives in Turkey still use traditional marketing methods.
- However, 89% of cooperatives that have switched to e-commerce are seeing significant demand on online platforms.
- In light of these data, a digitalization and entrepreneurship-focused approach is expected to make a significant contribution to the sustainable growth of cooperatives and increase their social impact.
Program Details
- Who Can Participate: All cooperatives producing products, services and benefits.
- Scope: Free online trainings, mentoring support and grants.
- Goal: Reaching 5000 cooperatives from 81 cities in Turkey.
