The report draws attention to the need for increment in the humanitarian aid provided to refugee-immigrant communities.

The report “Invisible Lives on Migration Routes” aims to illuminate the humanitarian need and the socio-economic circumstances of Syrian refugees and seminomadic immigrant communities and mobile refugee seasonal workers who dwell in Adana, Gaziantep, and Şanlıurfa.

The data of Invisible lives in the migratory roots had been obtained by a “status indication” study which had been done in 20 neighborhoods in Adana, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, and temporary tent settlements in Adana Meadow between the dates of December 2019 and April 2020. The report prepared by Bürge Akbulut, Ertan Karabıyık, Seda Akço, and Selin Ayaeş.

Besides the research report, they also published a defense strategy study that aims to ease right-based defense studies to be able to support the development of humanitarian aid programs for the needs of refugees, seminomadic immigrant communities, and mobile refugee seasonal workers. Furthermore, they had published a photo album that consisted of fieldwork photos, detailed schemes of the humanitarian aid and protective services, maps of the communities’ residency, which are the focal point of the research.

The report consists of data from the current situation of the target group, their residencies and their status of nomadism, demographic structure, registry state of ıdentity and address, education, health, income, habitat, and harboring circumstances, security, and discrimination.
