The report titled “Hearing the Armenians of Turkey: Problems, Demands and Solution Proposals”, written by Günay Göksu Özdoğan and Ohannes Kılıçdağı, within the framework of the Minority Rights working area of the TESEV Democratization Program has been published.

The report was prepared in the light of the information and opinions gained from the four workshops held during November 2010 – January 2011 within the TESEV Democratization Program and the discussions among the participants. Journalists, artists, foundation managers, association managers and members, lawyers, teachers, university lecturers and students, civil society activists, and members of the church and business world attended the workshops, representing the Armenian community.

Based on the experiences and perceptions of Armenian citizens, the report aims to convey the political, legal and social problems they face in Turkey from their perspectives to the Turkish public, and presents various political suggestions in line with the demands voiced by the Armenians of Turkey. The effects of the harmonization laws that came to the agenda in Turkey's EU process, the expectations from the new Constitutional process, both the positive changes in the recent period and the problems observed in the "opening" policies, the Armenians of Turkey in particular, and all the minority groups of Turkey in general are taken into account within the scope of the report.
