The DKVD's new study on oral history 'Three Rooms of Justice' is online

The new oral history study series of the Diyarbakır Association for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets (DKVD), "Three Rooms of Justice", is online on the DKVD website and YouTube channel.

In this series of oral history studies, DKVD recorded the human rights violations and the legal struggles against them from the 1980s to the 2010s through the narratives of lawyers in Diyarbakır. DKVD tried to document the cases of human rights violations that we can or cannot see in newspapers and on television, with the testimonies of lawyers and human stories who experienced the scorching atmosphere of the 1980s and 1990s.

The Three Rooms of Justice series was created through oral interviews with lawyers who chaired the Diyarbakır Bar Association in 1980 and later and fought legal battles in cases of rights violations. The series consists of three videos: First Room: Systemic Problems in Human Rights Law, Second Room: Memories, Anecdotes, Testimonies and Third Room: Opinions and Assessments.
