Disaster Awareness and Management for SMEs Training is Starting

It is possible to access the ‘Disaster Awareness and Management Training’ online and free of charge within the scope of the Robust SME Project, which is implemented to increase the resilience of SMEs against disasters and strengthen their crisis management capacities.

The training programme consists of 2 modules, a total of 26 lectures and 2 end-of-module exams.  With the training, participants will be able to learn about basic topics such as disaster awareness, crisis management, risk mitigation strategies and business continuity planning, as well as increasing financial resilience after disasters, managing insurance processes and creating disaster-resilient business models.

The training also includes current legislation, good practice examples and practical studies. Thus, participants will be able to adapt the theoretical knowledge to their own businesses by reinforcing it with real-life applications. Participants who successfully complete the training will be entitled to receive a certificate of participation.

About the programme

Developed in cooperation with the UPS Foundation, the American Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the World Economic Forum, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and IDEMA, the programme, which is completely free of charge, aims to make businesses more aware and prepared for disasters.
