The study focuses on the diaspora experience of Alevis, who have migrated abroad for various reasons, away from the socio-spatial order in which they have been closed for centuries in Anatolia.
One of the important outputs of the study, which aims to see the effect of emigration on social memory, belief, and cultural identity through Alevis, is the arguments against the "homogeneous immigrant" perception. In this sense, the presentation is based on comparing the Alevi diaspora experience through the characteristics of British and German Alevis such as the reasons and period of migration, the direction of migration, generational differences, settlement network, community profile, and organizational structure.
