Digital technologies raise questions about how technological advances will affect civil society in the future, by providing new ways to exercise freedoms of association, peaceful assembly and expression, but also to restrict those rights.
In the last century, social relations and business processes have developed with the opportunities offered to us by the printing press and electrical technologies. In this century, the internet and the new technologies developed in connection with it are changing the social and economic relations, transforming the structures of the past and the processes of doing business. In addition to our consumption and production habits, our social relations, jobs and education processes are becoming digital. Of course, every field in which civil society works, from getting organized and advocating to lobbying and campaigning processes, is also affected by digitalization.
Innovative technologies such as internet applications, social media, artificial intelligence, data analytics and robotics are used extensively in every field from social policies to education, from government applications to migration management. Whether we are aware of it or not, our experiences are constantly evolving and changing, inherent in our daily life practices. Especially with the Covid-19 pandemic, the digital transformation process, which transforms the working area of civil society and brings new opportunities and new questions, requires new skills.
“Digital-Lover Organizations” was produced within this transformation, with a perspective that puts CSOs at its center. The program, which consists of 4 independent courses, also has a structure that complements each other.
- Digital Literacy and Digital Transformation
- Digital Communication and Governance
- Digital Content and Social Media
- Data Visualization and Advocacy
“Digital-Lover Organizations” was designed with a long-term training course approach. The long-term training course does not only refer to the duration, but also emphasizes a method that feeds the development processes of the participants with different tools and focuses on participation and experience.
From this point of view, “Digital-Lover Organizations” appears as a whole, with both theoretical and immediately applicable clues. Based on the learning-by-doing and adult education approach, it gives the opportunity to experience and reflect on the subjects and concepts that are at the center of digital transformation.
There are two ways to benefit from "Digital-Lover Organizations". One is a face-to-face course program. It covers a period of 4 months. Every month, we come together with the experts of the subjects covered in the training program in 3-day meetings, we talk and discuss.
The other is the online “Digital-Lover Organizations” training course, which we complete with our own learning pace and planning. The online content includes key concepts, discussions and information for the topics covered in the course program. As such, it forms the basis of the face-to-face course program. Having completed online content during your application for face-to-face training gives you a priority.
