A rights-based approach is a conceptual framework based on international human rights standards aimed at promoting and protecting human rights. It analyzes obligations, inequalities, and vulnerabilities, and tackles discriminatory practices and unjust power structures that hinder human rights. The goal of this approach is to mainstream it into all plans, programs, and practices.
