As part of Refugee Rights Turkey's work in cooperation with the European Network on Statelessness, a partner organization of the Refugee Rights Turkey specializing in statelessness, Refugee Rights Turkey is organizing an online seminar on the risk of child statelessness in the context of migration from the perspective of international law.
The seminar will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 between 13.30-14.30.
The seminar will examine the issue of statelessness affecting millions of children worldwide from the perspective of children born in host countries to refugees, who are at high risk as one of the most vulnerable groups to this problem. Cameron Nye, Legal Policy Expert of the European Statelessness Network, will present the international legal framework of the risk of childhood statelessness in the context of migration, the standards set to prevent this problem and examples of successful solutions implemented in European countries.
Two-way translation will be provided in Turkish and English during the seminar.
