Participants in the program include software industry personnel, civil society actors, women with disabilities, and academics. The Barrier-Free Hackathon is a health-related program that provides a clear pathway for action and interaction. It provides an opportunity to collaboratively develop local ideas to solve common health problems faced by people with disabilities and improve access to health.
At the The Barrier-free Hackathon, women with disabilities will take the first steps toward finding and implementing solutions to overcome barriers to sexual and reproductive health. Participants will be able to develop their own projects, if any, as well as present their projects, create other projects in groups with other participants, or support the groups.
The Barrier-free Hackathon İzmir'23 Program will be held in Izmir on January 28, 2022 between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Gül Ertem, with the technical support of Women's Right to Health Association in Development and in kind support of Sivil Düşün Program of the European Union. The program participants will be given three topics to solve. The proposed solutions to be developed by the teams will be elaborated within the framework of the business model and logical framework approach.
Recommendations will be generated using one or more of the concepts of Sexual and Reproductive Health of Women and Girls with Disabilities, Gender-Based Violence against Women and Girls with Disabilities, Relevant Application Mechanisms for Women and Girls with Disabilities.
