The competition aims to raise awareness of gender equality and to bring culture and art together with society in urban spaces, with an artistic attitude towards femicide. At the Wooden Sculpture Symposium to be organized by the Municipality of Fındıklı, the production process of the equivalent works will be obtained with the competition of participated artists.
Participation principles
The principles of participation in the national and single-stage competition were determined as follows:
“Except those who have first-degree relations with the members of the selection committee, artists who are Turkish citizens who have received plastic arts education, students who continue their art education and anyone who works in this field can participate in the competition. Every artist can participate in the competition with a work that has not received an award and has not been exhibited. By participating in the competition, artists declare and undertake that their work is original. In case of a disagreement on this issue, all responsibility belongs to the artist participating in the competition. Those who are among the consultants acting on behalf of the administration that opened the competition and their employees, partners, those who are responsible for preparing, executing, finalizing, and approving all kinds of transactions related to the competition in the administration that opened the competition, and those who propose, determine and/or appoint the jury members and rapporteurs and those who are among the members of the jury and rapporteurs and their first-degree relatives, partners, assistants and employees, and those who participate in any part of the jury work will not be able to participate. Those who do not comply with these conditions will be deemed not to have participated in the competition, even if they have submitted works.
The competition will be evaluated in 3 stages.
Consultant jury members of the competition consists of Aylin Alişan Yetkin, Aylin Nazlıaka, Ayşe Uzunhasanoğlu Pirpir, Ece Yoltay, Fulya Candaş Uyar, Gülşen Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, Meryem Cengiz, Muteber Osmanpaşaoğlu, Nihal Evirgen, Nilgün Çervatoğlu, Tözey Bozkurt, Seçil Sarı, Seda Cengiz, Teşrife Boysan, Yasemin Bakır . The main jury members of the competition are; Canan Demir, Canan Güllü, Derya Köse, Deniz Şengenç, Füsun Kavalcı, Necla Rüzgar, Pınar Türenç, Seval Şener, Tezcan Karakuş Candan.
The alternate jury members of the competition were Aysel Alver, Ayşe Güven, Mısra Özyaman, Melike İnanç, Sanem Abdullahoğlu, Yeliz Tüyloğlu.
In the competition, the first evaluation will be made by the jury, the consultant, the main and substitute jury members. The second evaluation will take place according to the pandemic conditions with the participation of the local people. The third evaluation will be completed with the participation of at least 5 people from the jury.

The Contest Schedule has been determined as follows:
"Participation in the outdoor sculpture contest is free of charge, and registration to the contest will be done until April 30, 2021, 17:00, via kadinyasamahsapheykel.org .For registration applications, the following information must be filled in completely. The registered artist's name, surname, TR ID number, profession/department and university, education level (undergraduate/graduate), full address, telephone number, e-mail address should be included.
- Asking Questions Regarding the Contest (latest date): April 16, 2021
- Announcement of Answers to All Questions Asked: 21 April 2021
- Deadline for Submission of Projects to Fındıklı Municipality: 11 June 2021 (until 17.00)
- Announcement of Results: 25 June 2021
- Wood Sculpture Symposium for the implementation of sculptures 16-25 July 2021 Fındıklı
Artists will be able to send questions about the competition to the address of the Contest Rapporteur's Office by e-mail, until 17.00 on April 16, 2021, to [email protected]. The answers to the questions will be published on the web pages of the regulatory bodies. The works will be delivered by hand or by cargo to Fındıklı Belediyesi Merkez Mahallesi 11 Mart Caddesi No: 6 Fındıklı / Rize address, with the other documents requested in the specification, until Friday, June 11, 2021, at 17.00. Projects sent by cargo should be sent as to be delivered to the municipality on Friday, June 11, 2021. The reporting office will not be held responsible for any deficiencies and damages that may occur in late delivery and cargo.
