Applications for the SPoD Mental Health Workshop are now open

Applications are now open for the 7th Mental Health Workshop entitled “Dealing with applications related to sexual orientation and gender identity” for professionals working in the field of mental health.

30 participants will be admitted to the workshop, which will take place in person on 14 and 15 September and online in a hybrid format on 21 and 22 September.

*A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the programme. Attendance at the workshop on both weekends is required. Participants who do not fulfil the requirements will not receive a certificate of attendance.

Who can take part in the workshops?

Psychiatrists, psychiatric assistants, clinical psychologists, clinical psychology students, child psychiatrists, educators and PDR experts can apply to participate in the workshop.

Requirements for participation

Participation in the programme is free of charge. Those who complete the registration form and are added to the list of participants will receive a favourable response by e-mail. As part of the workshop will take place in person, you must be available on the days you attend in person. The costs of transport and accommodation for participants during the weekend will be covered by SPoD.

SPoD network for mental health professionals

Mental health professionals who attend the full workshop and have clinical experience can join the SPoD counselling network and provide counselling to LGBTI+ people referred by SPoD, as well as participate in the supervision studies organised by SPoD.

Those on the list of participants will be contacted by e-mail to confirm their participation status. Those who are unable to attend the full programme are asked to inform SPoD as soon as possible so that participants from the reserve list can be invited.

*The detailed programme, the link to join Zoom and information about the face-to-face part of the training will be communicated to participants later by SPoD.
