ALDA and Daktilo 1984 Association are still accepting applications for a capacity building program for women who want to run in Turkey's 2024 local elections. Applications for the WE ACT Politics and Media Training for Women Politicians program will be accepted until 31 October 2023.
The program is open to all women who are considering standing for local elections and who wish to participate in the program. The training is totally free of charge and participation is fully covered by the program, which will be offering political and media training to effectively prepare participants prior to the elections, and for them to feel totally confident running their campaign and potentially assuming their position as elected representatives.
- Training Duration: 9 days (5 days face-to-face, 4 days online)
- Regional Centre Provinces: Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Gaziantep, Adana, Van and Samsun
- Number of Participants: Limited to 19 participants for each city.
- After evaluating the applications, 6 of the 7 cities will be selected as training centres.
The call for participants is open for 2 weeks, women interested can get information through the guidelines attached and submit their application here until 31 October.
