To protest cruelty against animals, Animal Freedom Initiative organized a protest in front of Medrano Circus. The slogans of “Circus in not entertainment, but torture.”, “Human, animal, planet of freedom”, “Prohibit torture in circuses do not go”, and “Turn off the animals leave the circus” were the most remarkable ones. Circus officials responded to the protest with violence.
In press statement, it is also mentioned that educational process includes the unacceptable tool of prod, whip, electro-shock bar and hook which is resulted with animal cruelty, animal killing. During protest, the woman who lost her baby in student protest is also objected.
At the end of the protest, advocators of the animal rights moved to another protest against HEP projects by Orya Energy Company.
