The Dream Ambassadors Volunteering Program will focus on trainings, workshops, social activities, monitoring and reporting on youth rights and the right to the city / participation in the city in 2023-2024. This year, the program will focus on the experiences of youth in their city , create a discussion area with peers while it aims to find answer to the question "How does a young citizen participate in the city?".
Who can apply?
- Live in Istanbul between October 2023 and June 2024,
- Be between 18 and 30 years old,
- Would like to meet and exchange ideas with young people in their city,
- Want to carry out projects that create a social benefit for the needs of young people.
(Istanbul) Dream Ambassadors is a volunteer program that aims to promote youth participation in society and civil society; by creating horizontal learning environments, through peer-to-peer and non-formal education methods, young people; developing extracurricular skills (communication, teamwork, crisis management, planning, research, organizational skills, etc.), raising awareness of volunteerism and active citizenship, raising awareness of basic rights for a just and non-violent world.
Evaluation process
Participation in this program is limited. Participants will be determined by evaluating applications according to the following priorities:
- Completing and accurate completion of the application form,
- Being motivation of the application related with the Dream Ambassadors Program and ALİKEV's mission, vision and values,
- Stating full participation in the program between October and June, are expected.
Activity Calendar
- October 8, 2023 - face-to-face orientation meeting at Kadıköy office ,
- October 14-15, 2023 - startup workshops at Kadıköy office,
- Twice-monthly meetings with Dream Ambassadors at a date and time to be determined,
- Rights trainings, city participation practices, social and cultural activities, events and activities organized with Dream Ambassadors on dates to be determined.
