The Norwegian Helsinki Committee (NHC) has started accepting applications for the “Advocates for Change – Civil Society Support Grant Programme for Turkey”.
The programme focuses on the protection of human rights for all, democratic principles and the rule of law, and aims to support the crucial role of civil society in strengthening human rights. The programme will support civil society organisations in cities other than Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Grants for beneficiaries range from NOK 100,000 to NOK 300,000. The deadline for submitting applications is 6 October 2024, 24:00 (CET).
The call for applications relates to the following topics:
- Human rights defenders
- Freedom of expression and media
- LGBTQIA+ rights
- Gender equality
- Strengthening the role of women
