The French Embassy in Turkey is launching a call for projects aimed at supporting Turkish civil society organizations involved in the preservation of the environment. The call will close on June 5, 2022, the date of International Environment Day.
As part of its public development aid, France also supports local actors (NGOs, local authorities, companies, etc.) in their ecological initiatives. Thus, the French Embassy in Turkey is launching its third call for projects aimed at NGOs working in favor of the environment in Turkey. This initiative supports the efforts made by the Turkish authorities in terms of the environment, in particular with the ratification of the Paris Agreement in October 2021. The call for projects focuses on the following themes:
- Protection of biodiversity;
- Mitigation of and adaptation to climate change;
- Protection of the environment and the fight against pollution.
The projects selected will make it possible to raise public awareness on these issues, particularly on international issues, to strengthen the technical capacities of civil society organizations, to define strategies, to implement protection actions and/or to disseminate good practices.
