As part of our Capacity Building Center Project for Civil Society supported by the European Union, we will organize this gathering on September 4, 2023, Monday, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the Giresun Municipality Youth Open Office.
What will we discuss?
We recently experienced a disaster of a scale we have never witnessed or lived through before. After the February Earthquakes, we will brainstorm together about what we can do to be prepared for crises and explore different ways of solidarity and crisis management.
We will discuss what we need to do/change to be better prepared for crisis situations in Giresun and to be able to intervene more effectively in crises. We will also talk about how and in what direction we need to change and strengthen ourselves to accomplish these.
Who can participate and how?
Various actors from civil society, local governments, and public institutions will come together at this gathering. Those who wish to participate should fill out the relevant forms by the dates mentioned below. After filling out the form, please note that you will not receive a separate notification; your participation in the program will be confirmed with the completed form.

What are the "Power of Change Gatherings"?
The "Power of Change Gatherings" are a series of meetings where we discuss "change" by addressing questions like "why/how should we change?" and seek answers together.
While we fight to build a better world, in the "Power of Change Gatherings," we will take a holistic look at the repetitive cycle of change and discuss how to increase our organizational competence to manage change processes.
We want change, and we want to manage this change.
Then we must be more organized and stronger!
